Modern Wine Club
At Modern Wine, we aim to make wine more approachable and exciting, while building community along the way. We're thrilled to start the conversation with you about the Modern Wine Club! Each month, you'll receive expertly curated wines around a theme (e.g., exploring new grapes, regions, producers).
We'll also offer tasting events to enjoy the wines together. For those in the NYC area, we'll be hosting in-store tastings at the shop (161 Freedom Place in the Upper West Side), currently called Renaissance Wines & Spirits. And for those further afield, we'll host monthly virtual tastings as well.

About Us
Seema Gunda
Seema’s passion for wine started nearly 15 years ago, when she was certified as a sommelier. She also had a wine column at Serious Eats for a couple years after, but her pursuit of wine was always on top of a corporate “day job.” After 12 years in strategy consulting she finally made the leap to fulfill her dream of opening a wine shop in NYC.
